Job Summary:
We are looking for a confident, empathetic, and target-oriented Patient Counsellor to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for counselling patients and attendants, converting enquiries into consultations/admissions, coordinating with doctors and hospital departments, and ensuring excellent patient experience throughout the treatment journey.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and convincing skills, a strong follow-up approach, and preferably experience in hospital/healthcare sales or patient counselling.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle patient enquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, WhatsApp, digital leads, references, and other sources.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding appropriate consultations, investigations, procedures, surgeries, and treatment options.
- Explain treatment plans, procedures, approximate costs, hospital facilities, and available services in a clear and convincing manner.
- Convert prospective patients into OPD consultations, admissions, investigations, and procedures.
- Follow up regularly with patients who have not yet proceeded with treatment.
- Maintain a database of enquiries and ensure timely follow-up on all leads.
- Identify patient requirements and coordinate with the concerned doctor/department to facilitate consultations.
- Coordinate with billing, insurance/TPA, nursing, diagnostics, and other departments to ensure smooth patient movement.
- Handle objections related to treatment costs, procedures, timelines, and competing hospitals professionally.
- Build strong relationships with patients and attendants and encourage repeat visits and referrals.
- Maintain daily records of leads, follow-ups, conversions, admissions, and revenue generated.
- Achieve assigned monthly counselling, conversion, admission, and revenue targets.
- Coordinate with the marketing team regarding campaigns, health camps, promotional activities, and incoming leads.
- Collect patient feedback and communicate concerns to the management.
- Assist in developing and maintaining referral relationships with doctors, clinics, and other healthcare professionals when required.
- Ensure a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient satisfaction at all times.

Qualification & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Candidates with a background in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Nursing, Psychology, or Marketing will be preferred.
- 1–4 years of experience in hospital patient counselling, healthcare sales, hospital front office, business development, or patient relationship management preferred.
- Freshers with excellent communication and sales skills may also be considered.
Pay: ₹11,170.03 - ₹35,610.45 per month
