Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman with 2–5 years of experience in preparing electrical shop drawings for commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional building projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical drafting standards, AutoCAD, and MEP coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings based on IFC and tender drawings.
- Develop layouts for:
- Lighting
- Small Power
- Emergency Lighting
- Fire Alarm
- ELV Systems
- Cable Tray
- Containment
- Earthing & Lightning Protection
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Architectural, and Structural disciplines.
- Prepare electrical sections, elevations, schematic diagrams, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
- Generate as-built drawings and incorporate site revisions.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and company standards.
- Coordinate with project engineers and site teams for drawing updates.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control.
Required Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of MEP shop drawings.
- Understanding of electrical systems used in building construction.
- Ability to read and interpret IFC, tender, and construction drawings.
- Familiarity with electrical symbols, standards, and drafting practices.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Revit MEP or BIM will be an added advantage.
- Experience in commercial, residential, hospital, data center, or industrial projects.
- Basic knowledge of electrical load schedules and cable routing.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- ITI (Electrical) with relevant drafting experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in MEP/building construction projects.
Software Skills
- AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- Revit MEP (Preferred)
- MS Office
Pay: ₹20,013.76 - ₹67,952.73 per month
