Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer with 8–10 years of experience in Industrial Automation and Special Purpose Machine (SPM) Design. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD and have hands-on experience in designing automation systems, assembly fixtures, material handling equipment, and custom-built machinery for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), industrial automation systems, assembly stations, fixtures, jigs, and material handling equipment.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Develop machine layouts, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and pneumatic system layouts.
- Prepare BOMs, technical documentation, and design reports.
- Collaborate with electrical, controls, production, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Perform design calculations, component selection, and tolerance analysis.
- Review customer requirements and convert concepts into practical and cost-effective machine designs.
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and performance requirements.
- Support machine assembly, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior design engineers.
- Drive design improvements to enhance machine performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for standard and custom components.
- Maintain drawing revisions and engineering documentation as per company standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience in Industrial Automation and SPM Design.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in designing automation equipment, conveyor systems, robotic integration structures, assembly lines, welding fixtures, inspection fixtures, and custom machinery.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems, linear motion components, servo systems, actuators, and machine elements.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining, and assembly practices.
- Ability to independently handle complete machine design projects from concept to commissioning.
- Good communication, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience working with PLC/Controls teams for automation projects.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and machine guarding requirements.
- Experience in customer interaction, technical discussions, and project execution.
- Leadership experience in mentoring junior engineers and managing design activities.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
