Position Summary
The M&A Analyst supports the organization's merger, acquisition, and strategic investment initiatives by providing financial analysis, research, due diligence coordination, and transaction support. This role is responsible for evaluating potential acquisition opportunities, developing financial models, analyzing operational and market data, reviewing documentation within virtual data rooms, and assisting cross-functional teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
The M&A Analyst works closely with executive leadership, finance, operations, legal, human resources, compliance, and external advisors to facilitate informed decision-making and contribute to the successful execution and integration of acquired businesses. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Financial Modeling and Transaction Analysis
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other investment opportunities.
Prepare valuation analyses using appropriate methodologies, including discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and other relevant approaches.
Analyze historical financial statements, revenue trends, expense structures, profitability metrics, and cash flow performance to assess business viability and transaction attractiveness.
Build scenario analyses and sensitivity models to evaluate the financial impact of various assumptions, risks, and transaction structures.
Assist in developing acquisition business cases, investment recommendations, and executive presentations to support strategic decision-making.

Monitor post-transaction performance against acquisition assumptions and identify significant variances or emerging trends.
Due Diligence Support
Coordinate and support financial, operational, commercial, compliance, and organizational due diligence activities associated with prospective transactions.
Develop and maintain diligence request lists and track the status of information requests received from target organizations and external advisors.
Review and analyze financial records, operational reports, contracts, policies, organizational structures, and other materials to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring further investigation.
Summarize diligence findings and prepare reports highlighting key observations, potential concerns, and recommended follow-up actions.
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external consultants to ensure diligence activities are completed accurately and within established timelines.
Maintain organized documentation and support audit trails throughout the transaction process.
Industry and Market Research
Conduct research on healthcare revenue cycle management trends, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and market conditions that may influence acquisition strategies.
Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets that align with the organization's strategic objectives, geographic expansion plans, and service offerings.
Analyze industry benchmarks, market data, and competitor activity to support opportunity assessments and investment decisions.
Monitor mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other market developments within the healthcare and revenue cycle industries.
Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, and briefing materials for executive leadership regarding industry insights and strategic implications.
Maintain databases and tracking tools related to prospective targets, market intelligence, and transaction activity.
Data Room Management and Document Review
Participate in the organization, review, and management of documents contained within virtual data rooms during acquisition and divestiture processes.

Review corporate, financial, operational, contractual, and compliance documentation to verify completeness and identify potential issues requiring escalation.
Track outstanding documentation requests and ensure timely follow-up with internal stakeholders, target organizations, and external advisors.
Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive business information throughout the transaction process.
Assist in preparing transaction summaries, diligence logs, and status reports based on information gathered through data room reviews.
Support quality control efforts by ensuring documentation is accurate, current, properly categorized, and readily accessible to authorized parties.
Transaction Execution Support
Assist in coordinating activities among internal departments and external advisors involved in merger and acquisition transactions.
Prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and executive discussions related to acquisition opportunities and transaction progress.
Monitor project timelines and support efforts to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved according to established schedules.
Contribute to the preparation of transaction-related reports, analyses, and communications for senior leadership.
Participate in post-acquisition transition activities and provide analytical support during integration planning efforts, as assigned.
Compliance and Confidentiality
Handle confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information with the highest degree of discretion and professionalism.
Adhere to all applicable organizational policies, confidentiality obligations, data privacy requirements, and legal standards governing merger and acquisition activities.
Ensure documentation practices support transparency, accuracy, and compliance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Maintain awareness of industry regulations and emerging risks that may affect transaction evaluation and execution.

Recommend improvements to analytical tools, reporting processes, diligence procedures, and transaction workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

One (1) to three (3) years of experience in financial analysis, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory services, healthcare operations, or a related field.
Experience working with spreadsheets, financial reports, and large data sets.
Preferred:
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning initiatives, or due diligence activities.
Experience within healthcare, revenue cycle management, business services, or other highly regulated industries.
Progress toward or completion of professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CA, FMVA, or equivalent credentials relevant to the employee's country of employment.
Experience using virtual data room platforms and financial modeling tools.
