Job Summary:
The Academic Counsellor (Study Abroad) guides students through the process of pursuing education in international institutions. This role involves advising on course selection, universities, countries, admission procedures, visa processes, and career pathways aligned with global opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Counsel students on study abroad options (countries, universities, and courses)
Assess students’ academic background, career goals, and financial capacity
Provide accurate information on admission requirements, deadlines, and application procedures
Assist students in preparing application documents (SOP, LORs, resumes)
Guide students on English proficiency tests like IELTS/TOEFL/PTE
Support students through the visa application process and documentation
Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students and parents
Build and maintain relationships with international universities and partners
Keep updated on global education trends, immigration policies, and scholarship opportunities
Participate in seminars, webinars, and promotional events
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field (Education, Counselling, or related preferred)
Experience in study abroad counselling or education consultancy (preferred)
Knowledge of international education systems (UK, Europe,etc.)
Familiarity with visa processes and admission requirements
candidates must have prior experience in the study abroad consultancy sector.
