A Junior Interior Designer/ Intern supports senior designers by creating 2D/3D drawings (AutoCAD, SketchUp), developing mood boards, and sourcing materials, typically requiring 0–1 year of experience. Key duties include site visits, vendor coordination, and assisting with project documentation. Proficiency in design software, strong communication, and creative flair are essential.
- Design Development: Collaborate on design concepts, space planning, and layout design for residential/commercial projects.
- Technical Drawings & Visualization: Produce 2D layouts, 3D models, and renders using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Sourcing & Procurement: Research materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting, and manage vendor communication.
- Site Support: Assist with site visits to ensure design accuracy and coordination with contractors.
- Documentation: Create mood boards, presentations, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Education: Civil diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: 0–1 year of professional experience or internships.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Abilities: Strong aesthetic sense, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
