Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Node.js + React / Next.js)

About the Role: BeamX Tech Labs is hiring an experienced Full Stack Developer (2+ years
of experience) to join our engineering team building a secure, compliance-ready SaaS
platform.
You will take ownership of features end-to-end, mentor junior engineers, and help shape
technical direction. You will work in a structured Agile SDLC environment with a strong
emphasis on security, CI/CD automation, performance monitoring, and high code-quality
standards.
Tech Stack: Node.js, Express.js, React.js, Next.js, Sequelize ORM, MySQL, JWT
Authentication, Socket.IO, AWS (RDS, S3), Cloudflare, GitLab (CI/CD & Merge Requests),
Jest, Supertest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs using Node.js & Express
- Build secure, scalable, and maintainable UIs using React / Next.js
- Design and implement role-based access control (RBAC) and authorisation flows
- Model and optimise data layers with Sequelize ORM and MySQL (schema design, migrations, query tuning)
- Own features end-to-end from technical design through deployment and monitoring
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit & API tests using Jest and Supertest
- Lead and participate in peer code reviews via GitLab merge requests
- Enforce secure coding standards and OWASP best practices across the team
- Design and improve CI/CD workflows and QA/staging deployments
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making
- Collaborate within Agile sprint cycles and help refine estimation and planning
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of professional experience in Node.js development
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js (Next.js strongly preferred)
- Proven track record designing and building production-grade REST APIs
- Deep understanding of authentication and authorisation mechanisms (JWT, RBAC)
- Strong experience with SQL databases (MySQL preferred), including schema design and performance tuning
- Solid command of Git workflows and leading code reviews
- Strong grasp of secure coding principles and common vulnerability classes
- Demonstrated experience delivering in Agile, sprint-based environments
- Ability to own features independently and mentor less-experienced engineers
Nice to Have:
- Experience building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (RDS, S3) and infrastructure
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
- Working knowledge of security best practices (OWASP Top 10)
- Experience with real-time systems (Socket.IO / WebSockets)
- Experience writing and maintaining automated test suites (Jest, Supertest)
- Familiarity with Cloudflare, caching strategies, and performance monitoring
Education: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
