Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Chandapura, Bengaluru (local candidates preferred)
Employment Type: Full-time, 6 days a week
Weekly Off: Sunday fixed off
Work Timings: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (continuous shift)
Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹16,000 per month
Probation: 6 months – role continuation and salary revision based on clinic's operational progress and individual performance
Overtime: Overtime pay applicable for extra hours or holiday work.
Basic Skills Required (Mandatory):
· D.Pharm or B.Pharm with valid state pharmacy registration certificate
· Minimum 1 year retail / clinical pharmacy experience
· Proficient in Computer, Microsoft Word, and Excel – must be able to maintain stock sheets, expiry tracking, purchase entries using basic formulas (SUM, filters)
· Fluent in Kannada and English (to interact with doctors, patients, and suppliers)
· Soft-spoken and ethical – no argumentative behaviour with patients or prescribers
· Ability to manage entire pharmacy alone – dispensing, billing, inventory, cash handling
How the Pharmacist Should Keep the Pharmacy:
· Arrange medicines alphabetically by generic name or as per clinic’s system
· Daily check for expiry dates – move near-expiry to front and inform doctor for fast movement
· Maintain temperature log for cold storage items (if any)
· Keep pharmacy counter clean, dust-free, free of personal items
· Store scheduled drugs under lock and maintain prescription register as per law
· Reorder medicines before stock reaches minimum level using Excel tracker
Handling Patients & Follow-ups:
· Greet patients politely, never rush
· Explain dosage clearly in Kannada or English as patient prefers
· For follow-up prescriptions: check if patient has leftover medicines; advise not to self-medicate
· If a patient cannot afford a medicine, quietly inform the doctor, do not embarrass them. Offer to split strips if allowed.
· Handle insurance / billing queries calmly, even if patient is frustrated
· Never argue about a prescription – say "Let me confirm with the doctor once"
Additional Notes:
· You will work alone – no separate billing or inventory assistant
· Basic training on clinic’s EMR software will be provided; no practical test at interview
· No accommodation or travel allowance – only candidates from Chandapura or nearby areas (Anekal, Electronic City, Jigani) should apply
