Job Summary
We are hiring a Production Supervisor for a forging industry. The candidate will be responsible for hammer-wise production planning, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and reducing rejection levels on the shop floor. The role requires strong coordination with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor hammer-wise production plans as per daily production targets.
- Ensure production activities are carried out as per quality norms and specifications.
- Supervise shop floor operations and manpower allocation.
- Monitor production output, downtime, and machine utilization.
- Control and reduce rejection, rework, and process wastage.
- Coordinate with quality department for in-process inspection and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper raw material utilization and production efficiency.
- Maintain daily production reports and shift records.
- Follow safety standards and ensure discipline on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for machine breakdown and preventive maintenance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity enhancement.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of forging and hand tool manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of production planning and shop floor supervision.
- Ability to handle manpower and production targets.
- Knowledge of quality norms and rejection control.
- Good problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in forging or manufacturing industry.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in hammer forging operations preferred.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle production pressure.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
Salary
- Negotiable as per experience and skills.
Working Location
Pay: ₹25,000.32 - ₹34,067.49 per month
