Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Key Account Manager to handle major clients and drive sales growth in the paint industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with key customers such as dealers, distributors, builders, and industrial clients
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for decorative and/or industrial paint products
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence in Pune and nearby regions
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, finance) for smooth order execution
- Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy credit control
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and MIS for management
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Chemical Engineering (MBA preferred)
- 3–8 years of experience in paint, coatings, or building materials industry
- Strong network with dealers, contractors, and project clients
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure to achieve targets
- Good knowledge of the local Pune market
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in handling key accounts in decorative or industrial paints
- Strong understanding of B2B and B2C sales channels
- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools
