Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely acquisition of quality goods and services at competitive prices. The Purchase Officer will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining accurate records of purchases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement of packaging materials including corrugated boxes, plastic bags, pouches, and related materials
- Source and procure grains, seeds, and agri-based raw materials (e.g., sunflower seeds, niger seeds, etc.)
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor base for both packaging and agri commodities
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to optimize cost and quality
- Monitor market trends for raw materials and packaging inputs to ensure cost efficiency
- Ensure timely availability of materials aligned with production planning
- Conduct vendor evaluations and performance reviews
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams for smooth operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards
- Candidate Requirements:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in procurement
- Strong knowledge of:
- Corrugated packaging materials
- Plastic packaging (bags, liners, pouches)
- Agri commodities (grains, seeds)
- Experience in vendor development and cost negotiation
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory planning
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in export-oriented or FMCG/agri-processing industry is an added advantage.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Preference for Bachelor degree from Agriculture.
- Proven experience minimum 5-10 years as a Purchase or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
