Location: United States (preferred: same city as CEO)
Reports to: CEO
Works closely with: Revenue Leaders (US & AU), Product & Engineering (India), Finance, People, Legal
Company: Lifesight (B2B SaaS, multi-geo)
The Chief of Staff is the CEO’s execution amplifier.
This role exists to ensure:
CEO decisions turn into shipped outcomes
Cross-functional initiatives do not stall across geographies
The company sustains ~10% MoM growth on the path to $100M ARR
This is not an EA role and not a COO role.
It is a high-trust, high-judgment, execution-first leadership role.
Reduced re-litigation of decisions across the exec team
Increased on-time delivery of cross-functional initiatives
Shortened decision execution feedback loops across US/AU India
Freed up 6–10+ hours/week of CEO time without loss of control
Installed a repeatable operating cadence that scales beyond the CEO
Design and run the weekly exec cadence:
Company scorecard (growth, pipeline, churn, delivery)
Top priorities
Decision log (what we decided, why, who owns it)
Action tracker with deadlines and owners
Ensure decisions stick and are not endlessly re-debated
Prepare CEO for board meetings, investor updates, and critical GTM decisions
Own execution (not content) for the CEO’s top initiatives, such as:
UK market launch (governance, milestones, owners)
Pricing / packaging changes
Enterprise GTM process tightening
Cross-product prioritization between Lifesight & Factori
Revenue + product + delivery alignment
You do not replace functional leaders.
You ensure they move together, on time.
Pressure-test priorities and trade-offs
Surface risks early (execution, org, GTM, cash)
Turn ambiguity into clear plans
Act as a trusted sounding board—not a yes-person
Translate CEO/GTM intent into clear, executable priorities for India-based teams
Partner with engineering, inside sales, finance, HR, and legal leaders to remove blockers
Work closely with a Bangalore-based Program Manager / BizOps lead (if/when added) for follow-the-sun execution
Ensure the company knows:
What matters this quarter
What is explicitly not a priority
Who owns what
Reduce confusion, rework, and silent misalignment
❌ Not an Executive Assistant (calendar/inbox are owned elsewhere)
❌ Not a COO with P&L ownership
❌ Not a project admin or PMO coordinator
❌ Not a political buffer or messenger pigeon
This role has real authority via CEO backing, not via org chart power.
8–15 years in high-execution environments (top-tier SaaS, scale-ups, consulting + operator path, or similar)
Prior exposure to:
B2B SaaS GTM
Multi-geo / distributed teams
Exec-level decision making
Previous roles may include:
Chief of Staff
BizOps / Strategy & Ops
Early-stage operator reporting to CEO
Management consultant who transitioned into operating roles
Extreme clarity of thought: can reduce chaos to priorities
High judgment: knows when to push, when to escalate, when to stay out
Exec presence: can work credibly with senior revenue and product leaders
Bias to action: relentlessly drives follow-through
Low ego, high backbone: comfortable disagreeing with CEO respectfully
Trustworthy: handles sensitive information with discretion
