The purpose of this job is to work professionally with design engineering projects of medium to high complexity, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Plan and schedule EIA-related activities for the project.
Select and size field instruments.
Prepare Instrument Index, Data Sheets (Specification Sheets), BOM, Cable and JB Schedule, and PLC I/O Calculation/List.
Perform calculations such as CV, UPS & Battery, heat dissipation, and air consumption.
Design PLC panels, JB’s, and low-voltage electrical panels.
Understand control valve selection and sizing.
Develop alternative designs for new product development.
Knowledge of instrumentation standards (IEC, BS, ANSI, NFPA, ISA, UL) is essential.
Familiarity with CE and UL norms, as well as HAZOP studies, is required.
Review engineering documents, analyze designs, and retrieve information to complete project design documentation.
Review vendor drawings and documents; perform technical bid evaluations.
Support procurement actions.
Coordinate the planning of design activities.
Knowledge of PLC system architecture, types of PLCs, I/O cards, HMI, and SCADA is required.
Support Supply Chain in identifying, evaluating, and selecting alternate vendors.
Estimate costs and approve electrical systems.
Attend site meetings with customers, consultants, and external suppliers.
Directly responsible for: Instrumentation & Automation engineering, Field Instruments design, Instrument design calculation, Power supply calculation, testing of the panels, documentation, Control System Software FAT, Instrument selection & support for Projects and modular systems, Cost estimation
Indirectly responsible for: Project management, coordination within the project team/ customer / consultant.
