QA Automation Engineer

Project overview
You will contribute to a quality validation platform that ensures consistent
behaviour of services, data flows, and user interfaces across a distributed
system. The project focuses on automation coverage, API validation, and
UI testing, with ongoing improvements to testing reliability and team wide
quality practices.
Position overview
You will work as a QA automation specialist responsible for designing,
implementing, and maintaining automated test suites across backend and
frontend components. You will validate data, APIs, and user interfaces, and
support engineering teams by improving testing practices and helping
others adopt automation workflows.
This role follows standard India office hours and includes at least one hour
of overlap with the United States Pacific time zone for coordinated
sessions.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated test suites for backend services and
user interfaces
- Validate REST APIs including functional behaviour, error handling,
and data accuracy
- Perform data validation using SQL and NoSQL tools
- Support UI and UX testing with a focus on usability and consistency
- Analyse test outcomes and work with engineering teams to resolve
issues Help maintain automation standards and contribute to improvements
in testing coverage
- Assist other QA team members by sharing automation knowledge
and best practices
- Contribute to documentation of test plans, test cases, and automated
workflows
Requirements
- Experience building and maintaining automated tests for web
applications or microservices
- Experience validating REST APIs
- Familiarity working with SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Experience performing UI and UX validation
- Ability to communicate clearly in English in a distributed team
environment
- Ability to self-manage testing activities and coordinate with
engineering teams
Nice to have
- Familiarity with automation frameworks used in UI and API testing
- Experience in the travel ecosystem
- Experience guiding or mentoring others on automation practices
- Experience working with asynchronous distributed systems
Pay: Up to ₹4,896,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bengaluru, Karnataka (Bengaluru, Bengaluru Urban District)
