Job Description
D5 Design Factory Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, project costing, billing, and cost control for construction and interior projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for construction and interior projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and interior drawings.
- Prepare detailed project estimates, costing, budgets, and rate analysis.
- Verify quantities through site measurements and coordinate with site engineers.
- Prepare and verify client, contractor, and subcontractor bills.
- Monitor project costs and ensure work is completed within the approved budget.
- Prepare variation estimates for additional or modified works.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for material quantities and cost comparisons.
- Obtain and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintain project costing records and prepare periodic cost reports.
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs and minimize material wastage.
- Coordinate with Designers, Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Procurement teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or in a similar role.
- Experience in construction and interior projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, costing, billing, and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and interior drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and market rates.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in residential and commercial construction projects.
- Knowledge of interior fit-out estimation.
- Experience in vendor and subcontractor quotation comparison.
- Strong understanding of project cost control and budgeting.
