Job Description : Senior UAV Engineer
Location: Changodar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Position Summary
The Senior UAV Engineer shall be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of UAV systems, including Fixed Wing, Multi-Rotor, and VTOL platforms. The role involves leading engineering activities, mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and delivering reliable UAV solutions for commercial, industrial, defence, and survey applications.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. UAV Design & Development
- Design and develop UAV platforms including Fixed Wing, VTOL, and Multi-Rotor systems.
- Perform conceptual design, detailed engineering, and system optimization.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation.
- Select suitable materials and components considering performance, weight, reliability, and cost.
2. System Integration
- Integrate airframe, propulsion systems, avionics, flight controllers, GPS, telemetry, communication systems, payloads, and sensors.
- Ensure compatibility and seamless integration between hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot integration issues during prototype and production stages.
3. Flight Testing & Validation
- Plan and execute ground tests and flight trials.
- Analyse flight data and prepare technical reports.
- Identify failures, recommend corrective actions, and validate improvements.
- Ensure safe flight operations in accordance with company SOPs.
4. Research & Innovation
- Conduct research on emerging UAV technologies.
- Evaluate new components, sensors, batteries, propulsion systems, and flight control technologies.
- Recommend product improvements and innovative engineering solutions.
- Participate in prototype development and proof-of-concept projects.
5. Engineering Documentation
- Prepare:
- Design Reports
- Test Reports
- Flight Test Logs
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assembly Instructions
- Maintenance Manuals
- Technical Specifications
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
6. Manufacturing Support
- Provide technical guidance to production during assembly.
- Support quality inspections and acceptance testing.
- Resolve manufacturing-related engineering issues.
- Improve manufacturability of UAV systems.
7. Project Management
- Lead assigned UAV development projects.
- Prepare project schedules and monitor milestones.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Software, Electronics, GIS, QA/QC, and Project Management teams.
- Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
8. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure UAV systems comply with applicable DGCA and relevant aviation regulations.
- Support certification and documentation requirements.
- Maintain engineering records and revision control.
9. Team Leadership
- Mentor junior UAV engineers and interns.
- Review engineering work before release.
- Allocate engineering tasks and monitor progress.
- Conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
10. Customer & Field Support
- Provide technical support during customer demonstrations and field deployments.
- Investigate customer-reported technical issues.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and training activities.

Required Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:

- Robotics Engineering
- Master's Degree shall be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
