Role Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Data Program Manager to lead a complex, cross functional enterprise data transformation initiative focused on improving data maturity across the company. This role will partner closely with divisional and functional Data Management Offices (DMOs), business leaders, and IT teams to drive execution of a broad portfolio of data initiatives spanning data strategy, data governance, data quality, data stewardship, data architecture, and data integration.
The Data Program Manager will be responsible for orchestrating a high visibility program that enables stronger data foundations, clearer ownership and accountability, improved quality and trust in critical data, and scalable data capabilities that support business transformation. This role requires exceptional program delivery expertise, the ability to lead global matrixed teams, and a strong track record of driving execution across business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
While experience in enterprise data management is strongly preferred, success in this role will depend on the ability to establish structure, drive alignment, manage interdependencies, and deliver outcomes in a fast paced and evolving environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Support divisions/function in the execution of cross functional data transformation program within an Enterprise Data Management Office operating model across business and IT
Partner with enterprise, divisional, and functional DMOs to align priorities, define roadmaps, and advance enterprise data maturity goals
Drive coordination across initiatives related to data strategy, data governance, data quality, metadata, stewardship, architecture, master data, and integration
Build and maintain integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource plans across the portfolio
Establish and manage program governance, including leadership updates, decision forums, steering committee materials, and escalation paths
Ensure alignment between business priorities, data management capabilities, and enabling technology solutions
Apply Agile and hybrid program management practices, including planning increments, coordinating epics and features, facilitating ceremonies, and tracking delivery across teams
Define, track, and communicate program KPIs, outcomes, and status reporting for executive leadership and stakeholder groups
Coordinate global cross functional teams across lines of business, regions, and time zones to deliver against shared objectives
Partner with data, architecture, integration, analytics, and platform teams to ensure program execution is aligned with target state architecture and enterprise standards
Support implementation and adoption of data governance processes, stewardship models, quality controls, and operating cadences
Work with change management and business readiness teams to support stakeholder engagement, adoption, and sustainable process integration
Oversee third party vendors and implementation partners, including delivery coordination, issue resolution, and integration into program plans
Facilitate resolution of cross workstream issues and proactively manage impacts to timeline, scope, budget, and value realization
Help define the operating model, processes, and management routines needed to sustain long term data management capabilities across the enterprise
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
5+ years of experience leading programs, portfolios, or large scale transformation initiatives
Demonstrated success delivering cross functional programs in matrixed and global environments
Strong experience in program planning, dependency management, risk management, financial oversight, and executive reporting
Expertise in Agile delivery frameworks such as SAFe, or hybrid Agile and Waterfall approaches
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across executive, business, and technical audiences
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills in fast paced, high change environments
Proficiency with program and portfolio management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar
Ability to lead international teams across multiple initiatives that span lines of business, geographic borders, time zones, and cultures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading data focused programs such as data governance, data quality, master data management, metadata management, data catalog, or data platform modernization initiatives
Familiarity with enterprise data management and governance platforms such as Alation, SAP MDG, Databricks, or similar technologies
Experience supporting digital transformation, ERP modernization, or enterprise operating model change initiatives
Understanding of key data management disciplines, including data stewardship, data ownership, metadata, reference data, master data, data architecture, and integration patterns
PMP, PgMP, or Agile certification such as SAFe, PMI ACP, or Scrum related credentials
Experience working with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, commercial, engineering, or other enterprise business data domains
