About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to drive business growth in the fire protection systems domain across Western India. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of fire protection systems, established relationships with fire protection consultants, and the ability to penetrate high-value verticals such as semiconductors, data centres, refineries, warehouses, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across assigned territories in Western India.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with fire protection consultants, PMC firms, and key specifiers involved in firefighting projects.
- Identify, pursue, and convert leads in target verticals including semiconductor fabrication, data centres, oil & gas refineries, warehouses, and large industrial complexes.
- Maintain active liaison with Fire Officers of various states in Western India to stay abreast of regulatory changes, approvals, and compliance requirements.
- Engage with EPC contractors, architects, and end-clients to position the company's fire protection portfolio effectively.
- Conduct product presentations, technical seminars, and site visits to promote fixed firefighting systems and fire protection solutions.
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, coordinate with engineering teams for design inputs, and follow through to order closure.
- Monitor market intelligence — competitor activities, pricing trends, project pipelines — and report insights to management.
- Travel extensively across Western India (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh) and other regions as required.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets; maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8 to 10 years of proven sales experience in fire protection, fire detection, or allied safety systems.
- Established rapport with fire protection consultants actively working on firefighting and fire suppression projects.
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with consultants serving the semiconductor, data centre, refinery, warehouse, and industrial sectors.
- Strong network and good rapport with Fire Officers across Western Indian states; familiarity with state fire NOC and approval processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Western India and other regions as business demands.
- Good understanding of various fire protection systems, including:
- Sprinkler systems (wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, deluge)
- Clean agent suppression systems (FM-200, Novec 1230, CO₂)
- Foam-based fixed firefighting systems (AFFF, high-expansion foam)
- Water mist systems and hydrant systems
- Fire detection & alarm systems
- Relevant engineering background (B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Fire, or Electrical Engineering preferred); MBA in Marketing is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills; ability to engage with senior level stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with government bodies, industrial authorities, or fire departments is a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with NBC, IS Codes, NFPA, FM and other relevant fire safety standards and codes.
