About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying defects, and ensuring a high standard of product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements and technical specifications
- Create detailed test plans and test cases
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing
- Test web and mobile applications across different browsers and devices
- Identify, document, and track bugs using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing
- Perform basic API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Maintain QA documentation, checklists, and testing processes
- Track testing progress and report quality metrics
Required Skills
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in manual/functional software testing
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and testing processes
- Experience writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test plans
- Hands-on experience testing web and mobile applications
- Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Understanding of APIs, client-server architecture, and databases
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Good to Have
- Basic understanding of test automation concepts
- Knowledge of SQL for data validation
- Exposure to performance or usability testing
- Understanding of accessibility testing
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced product environment
