Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen work areas.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
- Store food items properly following food safety and hygiene standards.
- Help with receiving, checking, and organizing kitchen supplies.
- Support meal preparation and plating as directed by senior kitchen staff.
- Dispose of waste according to hygiene and safety procedures.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Learn standard recipes, cooking techniques, and kitchen procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Certificate or diploma in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Hotel Management is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
