DISPATCH HEAD
Foundry (Manhole cover)
8–15 years of professional experience in Manhole & Sanitary castings dispatch, logistics, warehouse, stores, or finished goods movement
● Minimum 3–5 years in a team-handling
● Prior experience in manufacturing, foundry, steel, iron castings is mandatory.
● Experience in handling truck loading, transporter follow-up, dispatch documentation, and factory gate coordination is required
● Exposure to manhole covers, ductile iron castings, export dispatch, or heavy foundry goods is preferred
● Experience in making packing / Stuffing List/ Program as per container load allowance to fix and utilize max space & load
A. Dispatch Planning & Execution Discipline Candidate must demonstrate: ● Ability to prepare daily, weekly & monthly dispatch plans
B. Material Accuracy & Documentation Control Must be able to ensure: Correct product, size, grade, quantity, quality and customer order reference ● Proper material identification, marking, tagging, and packing status
C. Cross-Department Coordination Ability Must be comfortable coordinating with: ● Production team for material readiness ● Quality team for inspection clearance ● Painting / coating / finishing team for final readiness ● Stores / finished goods yard for stock location ● Accounts / billing team for invoice and e-way bill support ● Transporters for truck availability and freight follow-up ● Security / gate team for vehicle entry and exit control
D. Factory-Floor Leadership Must be able to: ● Manage loaders, labour, crane/forklift operators, helpers, and dispatch staff ● Maintain discipline during loading ● Prevent careless handling of manhole covers, frames, and castings ● Ensure safe loading and proper vehicle utilization ● Control truck drivers and transporters without unnecessary conflict ● Stay physically present during critical dispatches when required ● Work in a foundry / factory environment with dust, heat, noise, and time pressure ● Customer / customers team co-ordination
E. Problem Solving & Escalation Judgement Must demonstrate: ● Ability to identify dispatch bottlenecks early ● Ability to resolve rejection shortage, wrong material, truck delay, billing delay, or loading labour issues ● Ability to escalate only when required, with facts and options ● Ability to prevent avoidable customer complaints ● Ability to give management accurate dispatch status without excuses F. Technology & Tools Must be proficient in: ● Microsoft Excel ● Google Sheets ● Email / WhatsApp business communication ● Dispatch trackers ● Stock and pending dispatch reports ● Basic ERP / accounting software coordination
Preferred: ● Experience with ERP-based dispatch modules ● Ability to prepare MIS reports ● Basic freight comparison and transporter performance tracking ● Ability to use digital tools for dispatch visibility and follow-up
