You’ll teach foundational math concepts to students from Class 5 to 10 , create a positive learning environment, and participate in the academic and residential life of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach math concepts appropriate for Classes 5 to 10, including number sense, basic operations, shapes, measurements, patterns and mental math.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and activities that match the learning level of each group.
- Use simple examples, hands-on activities and stories to make math engaging.
- Assess students regularly through classwork, worksheets, oral tests and term exams.
- Maintain accurate academic records and share progress updates with parents or guardians.
- Support slow learners with extra practice and provide enrichment activities for advanced students.
- Manage classroom discipline and encourage good study habits.
- Participate in morning routine, evening study hours and other residential duties assigned by the school.
- Help organize school events, competitions and co-curricular activities.
- Ensure student safety and well-being within the residential environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education or a related field.
- B.Ed preferred.
- Prior experience teaching primary classes is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English and the local language.
- Ability to manage young learners with patience and empathy.
