Job Summary
Stature Properties Private Limited is looking for an experienced Corporate Lawyer / Legal Counsel to manage the company's legal requirements, contracts, real estate documentation, compliance, and legal risk.
The candidate should have strong knowledge of corporate law, real estate transactions, agreements, property documentation, RERA, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on day-to-day corporate and real estate matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, MOUs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and business documents.
- Review and verify property-related documents, title documents, sale agreements, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable RERA and real estate regulations.
- Coordinate with external advocates, consultants, government authorities, and other legal professionals.
- Handle legal notices, disputes, claims, and litigation matters in coordination with external counsel.
- Conduct legal due diligence for real estate projects and property transactions.
- Identify potential legal risks and provide appropriate recommendations to management.
- Review agreements with developers, channel partners, customers, vendors, and other business associates.
- Maintain proper records of legal documents, agreements, notices, and cases.
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations affecting the company's business.
- Support the management team in corporate governance and statutory compliance matters.
- Assist in resolving contractual and commercial disputes.
- Ensure timely renewal and execution of important legal agreements.
- Work closely with the sales, finance, HR, marketing, and management teams on legal requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Corporate Law and Real Estate Law.
- Good understanding of RERA regulations and property transactions.
- Excellent contract drafting and reviewing skills.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and manage legal risks.
- Strong documentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with external lawyers and consultants.
- Knowledge of relevant Karnataka real estate regulations will be an advantage.
Qualification & Experience
- LLB / LLM from a recognized institution.
- Valid enrollment with the Bar Council preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate or real estate law.
- Experience working with real estate companies, developers, channel partners, or property transactions will be preferred.
