Assist the University in formulating and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines for the effective management of the Boys Hostel, mess facilities, and other student support services.
Oversee the day-to-day administration and operations of the Boys Hostel.
Ensure proper maintenance of the hostel building, rooms, common areas, and associated facilities through regular inspections.
Conduct regular visits and rounds of the hostel to monitor cleanliness, discipline, safety, and overall student well-being.
Allocate hostel rooms to students in accordance with the University's hostel allocation policies and guidelines.
Maintain discipline within the hostel and ensure adherence to the University's rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
Supervise hostel staff and coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security, and other service providers to ensure efficient hostel operations.
Ensure adequate security arrangements and a safe living environment for all hostel residents.
Monitor sanitation, hygiene, and cleanliness standards across the hostel premises.
Oversee hostel mess operations to ensure the timely availability of hygienic, nutritious, and quality food for students.
Address student grievances related to hostel facilities and resolve issues promptly in coordination with the concerned departments.
Provide immediate assistance during emergencies and facilitate timely medical support and first aid for students whenever required.
Encourage and coordinate sports, cultural, recreational, and community engagement activities to promote student development and well-being.
Maintain hostel records, occupancy details, incident reports, visitor registers, and other statutory documentation.
Prepare and submit periodic reports related to hostel administration as required by the University.
Coordinate with parents/guardians, academic departments, security, and other University stakeholders whenever necessary.
Ensure compliance with all University policies, statutory regulations, health and safety norms, and hostel guidelines.
Perform any other duties assigned by the University from time to time.
