About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Furniture & Modular Draftsman who can translate design concepts into accurate, detailed and execution-ready technical drawings. The candidate should have strong knowledge of modular furniture, custom furniture detailing, elevations, working drawings and site execution.
The role requires someone who can independently handle drawings, understand site conditions, coordinate with clients and execution teams, and ensure that every detail is technically practical and ready for manufacturing/execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Furniture & Modular Drawings
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, plans, sections and elevations for modular and custom furniture.
- Develop furniture elevations with complete detailing of shutters, drawers, shelves, handles, profiles, grooves, finishes, etc.
- Prepare manufacturing and production-ready drawings.
- Develop detailed drawings for wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, TV units, bar units, storage, beds, side tables, study units and other custom furniture.
- Prepare furniture structure and construction details.
- Ensure dimensions, levels, materials and specifications are accurately mentioned.
2. Working & Technical Drawings
- Prepare complete working drawings for furniture and interior execution.
- Prepare structure drawings, including internal framing/support requirements.
- Prepare utility drawings required for furniture execution.
- Coordinate and prepare electrical drawings related to furniture, including lighting points, LED profiles, sockets, switches and appliance requirements.
- Provide detailed sections and junction details wherever required.
- Ensure drawings are practical from a manufacturing and installation perspective.
3. Site Visits & Measurements
- Conduct regular site visits and detailed site measurements.
- Understand actual site conditions and incorporate them accurately into drawings.
- Cross-check dimensions before releasing drawings for production.
- Identify site-related technical issues and coordinate with the execution team for solutions.
- Prepare site measurement sheets and maintain updated drawing records.
4. Client Coordination
- Coordinate with clients to understand requirements, preferences and functional needs.
- Explain furniture drawings and technical details to clients wherever required.
- Incorporate approved client changes into drawings.
- Maintain proper documentation of revisions and approvals.
5. Coordination with Design & Execution Teams
- Work closely with Interior Designers, Architects, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Carpenters and Production Teams.
- Coordinate drawings with civil, electrical, plumbing and other services.
- Resolve discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions.
- Ensure the latest approved drawing reaches the relevant execution/manufacturing team.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular site visit reports and measurement reports.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision records and approval status.
- Track drawing changes and ensure no outdated drawings are issued for execution.
- Report site discrepancies, design challenges and technical requirements to the concerned team.
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of modular furniture and custom furniture construction.
- Ability to read and understand interior design drawings and 3D designs.
- Strong understanding of materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, acrylic, glass, metal, hardware and other furniture finishes.
- Good knowledge of furniture hardware and installation methods.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, proportions, clearances and ergonomics.
- Ability to prepare detailed sections, elevations and working drawings.
- Good knowledge of electrical and utility requirements related to furniture.
- Strong site measurement and execution knowledge.
- Good communication and client coordination skills.

Qualification
Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design, Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience
3–6 years of relevant experience in furniture detailing, modular furniture, interior execution or architectural drafting.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
