About Us
Rasam Podi is a modern South Indian QSR focused on serving authentic flavours with consistency, speed, and quality. We are looking for a passionate and experienced South Indian Chef to join our opening team and help build a strong culinary foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute authentic South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, podis, chutneys, sambar, rasam, and regional specialties.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Manage mise en place, inventory, and stock rotation.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on recipes and SOPs.
- Assist in menu development and product innovation when required.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced QSR environment.
Ideal Candidate
- 3–8 years of experience in South Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of traditional recipes, spice blends, batters, fermentation, and regional cooking techniques.
- Experience in high-volume restaurants, cafés, QSRs, or hotel kitchens is preferred.
- Hands-on, disciplined, and quality-focused.
- Ability to lead a small team and maintain kitchen standards.
- Passionate about food and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to grow with a new brand.
