Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the Construction or Real Estate industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, monitoring construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining high standards of workmanship. The candidate should have a strong understanding of construction quality standards, material testing, inspection procedures and regulatory compliance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Implement and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures at project sites.
Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.
Conduct inspections of civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works.
Verify the quality of materials before and during construction.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
Site Inspection & Monitoring
Conduct routine site inspections to monitor work quality.
Identify quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure all construction activities meet client and project requirements.
Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with approved construction methods. Material Inspection & Testing
Inspect incoming construction materials for quality compliance.
Coordinate laboratory testing of materials such as concrete, steel, bricks, sand, cement, and aggregates.
Review material test reports and ensure compliance with specifications.
Maintain records of quality inspections and test results.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare quality inspection reports, checklists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection records and test certificates.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure of quality issues. Compliance & Audits
Ensure compliance with company quality policies and project specifications.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Monitor adherence to ISO standards and quality management systems (where applicable).
Support client and consultant inspections.
Coordination
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, Consultants, and Contractors.
Guide site teams on quality standards and best practices.
Conduct toolbox talks and quality awareness sessions when required.
Assist procurement and project teams in vendor quality evaluations. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve construction quality and processes.
Recommend preventive measures to reduce defects and rework.
Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Monitor lessons learned and implement best practices across projects.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures in construction projects.
Understanding of IS Codes, construction standards, and quality management systems.
Knowledge of material testing and inspection procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and under project deadlines.

Knowledge of QA/QC documentation and inspection procedures
Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant experience may also be considered.
Preferred Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or QA/QC Engineer in the Construction, Real Estate, or Infrastructure sector.
Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects.
Hands-on experience in quality inspections, material testing, and project documentation.
