Position Title: Purchase Engineer

Job Summary:
As a Purchase Engineer in an Electrical Engineering Company, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. Your role will involve collaborating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining efficient inventory levels to support the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives, considering factors such as cost, quality, delivery, and supplier relationships. Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish partnerships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Supplier Management: Identify and qualify suppliers based on their capabilities, reliability, and adherence to quality standards. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor their performance, negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
Purchase Orders and Contracts: Generate purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in terms of quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules. Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as engineering and finance teams, to ensure alignment on procurement needs.
Cost Optimization: Conduct cost analysis, evaluate alternative suppliers and materials, and negotiate competitive pricing to optimize costs without compromising quality. Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as bulk purchasing, vendor consolidation, and value engineering.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to ensure appropriate stock levels for ongoing projects and production requirements. Implement inventory control measures, such as forecasting demand, tracking consumption, and implementing effective replenishment strategies.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that purchased materials and components meet the required quality standards. Conduct supplier audits, evaluate quality certificates, and address any quality-related issues promptly.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, vendor performance data, and inventory levels. Generate reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and other relevant metrics for management review.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹58,000.00 per month
