Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and independent 2D Echo Technician to perform 2D Echocardiography, assist in ultrasound procedures, make report of all radiology and fetal scans and manage departmental operations in compliance with PCPNDT Act guidelines. The ideal candidate can work autonomously, maintain equipment, handle documentation, and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the echo/ultrasound department.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Technical Duties:
- Independently perform 2D Echocardiograpy
- Assist Radiologist/Cardiologist in ultrasound procedures including abdomen, pelvis, TVS, small parts, and vascular doppler
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety & comfort during scans
- Obtain optimal images, take accurate measurements, and prepare preliminary findings for doctor review
- Handle emergency/critical cases with accuracy and speed
PCPNDT Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to all PCPNDT Act rules and guidelines for ultrasound operations
- Maintain Form-F records, patient registers, consent forms, and referral slips as per statutory requirements
- Ensure timely renewal of PCPNDT registration and handle departmental audits/inspections
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards for all scans, especially obstetric cases
Department Management:
- Manage daily scheduling, patient flow, and coordination with OPD/IPD department
- Maintain and calibrate echo & ultrasound machines; coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown service
- Manage inventory of consumables like gel, thermal paper, CDs, probes, and raise indents as needed
- Keep department records, billing coordination, and monthly statistics
Qualifications & Requirements
- *Education: B.Sc in Cardiac Care Technology / Radiology & Imaging Technology/ PG Diploma in Echo
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of independent 2D Echo and ultrasound experience in hospital/diagnostic setup
- Skills: Proficient with echo machines (Philips, GE machine computer knowledge
- Other: Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathologies, and ultrasound protocols; good communication skills

Salary & Benefits
