- Job Summary :
- The Career Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students in selecting suitable courses aligned with their career goals, converting inquiries into admissions, ensuring fee collection, maintaining customer satisfaction, and supporting smooth centre operations. In the absence of the Centre Manager, the Career Counsellor shall oversee daily operational activities and ensure uninterrupted functioning of the centre.
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
Student Counselling & Admissions
* Counsel walk-in, telephonic, and online inquiries.
* Understand student background, career aspirations, and financial capacity.
* Recommend appropriate courses and career pathways.
* Explain course structure, outcomes, certifications, and placement support.
* Achieve monthly admission targets.
* Maintain proper follow-up with leads.
* Update CRM regularly.
Revenue & Fee Collection:
* Explain fee structure, payment plans, and scholarship options.
* Ensure timely collection of registration fees and course fees.
* Follow up for pending installments.
* Maintain proper fee documentation and receipts.
* Coordinate with accounts department for reconciliation.
* Achieve monthly revenue targets.
Customer Satisfaction & Retention :
* Ensure positive student experience from admission till course completion.
* Address student grievances promptly.
* Maintain high student retention rate.
* Collect feedback and report issues to management.
* Ensure proper communication regarding class schedules and updates.
Centre Operations (In Absence of Centre Manager):
* Oversee daily functioning of the centre.
* Monitor faculty attendance and class schedule adherence.
* Ensure discipline and professional environment.
* Supervise front office and support staff.
* Handle basic administrative decisions.
* Ensure centre cleanliness and infrastructure maintenance.
* Escalate critical issues to higher management.
Reporting & Documentation :
* Maintain daily enquiry report.
* Maintain admission conversion report.
* Submit weekly and monthly performance reports.
* Maintain student database accurately.
* Track marketing lead sources.
Marketing Support:
* Coordinate with digital marketing team for campaign feedback.
* Participate in seminars, webinars, school/college visits.
* Assist in promotional activities.
* Generate referral leads.
