The Indian Commis Chef assists in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Indian dishes while maintaining food quality, hygiene standards, and kitchen efficiency. The role supports senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensures that all food is prepared according to hotel or restaurant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian dishes as per standard recipes.
- Prepare ingredients including cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Ensure mise en place is ready before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
- Follow food safety and HACCP standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior chefs.
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies properly.
- Minimize food wastage and control costs.
- Support senior chefs during buffet, banquet, and à la carte operations.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of food.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
