Job Description: Sales Engineer
We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer to promote and sell our plant electrical maintenance services, including switchgear testing, thermography, electrical safety audits, maintenance contracting, and breakdown support. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in electrical systems and excellent communication skills to engage with industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in industrial plants and manufacturing facilities.
- Promote services such as electrical maintenance, switchgear testing, relay testing, thermography, short circuit analysis, and preventive maintenance.
- Conduct client visits, understand technical requirements, and propose suitable service solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and service presentations.
- Work closely with the service execution team to ensure timely delivery of maintenance services.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients for repeat and annual maintenance contract (AMC) business.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Provide feedback to management regarding product/service improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in sales of electrical maintenance services or industrial electrical products.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems such as LV/MV switchgear, transformers, breakers, relays, and plant maintenance activities.
- Understanding of safety standards (e.g., IS/IEC standards) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel to client sites.
Preferred Expertise
- Experience in industrial plant maintenance or testing services.
- Knowledge of thermography, switchgear testing, relay coordination studies, and energy audits.
- Existing network in manufacturing plants, OEMs, EPC contractors, or maintenance departments.
