Role Overview
The Manager – CSR Partnerships will lead the organization’s corporate fundraising and CSR engagement efforts. The role is responsible for identifying, building, and managing partnerships with corporates, foundations, and institutions under India’s CSR framework (Companies Act, 2013 – Schedule VII).
This position requires strong relationship-building skills, deep understanding of CSR compliance, and the ability to translate community programs into compelling, fundable CSR propositions.
Key ResponsibilitiesCSR Strategy & Partnership Development
- Develop and implement a CSR fundraising strategy aligned with Suma Blessings Foundation’s thematic priorities and Theory of Change
- Identify and engage potential corporate CSR partners across sectors
- Build long-term, multi-year CSR partnerships beyond one-time grants
- Track CSR trends, funding priorities, and corporate sustainability goals
Corporate Outreach & Relationship Management
- Initiate and manage relationships with CSR heads, sustainability teams, foundations, and corporate leadership
- Lead end-to-end partnership lifecycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, onboarding, and renewal
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned CSR partners
- Participate in CSR forums, industry platforms, and networking events
Proposal Development & Fundraising
- Conceptualize and develop CSR proposals aligned with Schedule VII requirements
- Customize proposals based on corporate priorities, geography, and impact focus
- Coordinate with program teams to design scalable, fundable projects
- Support MoU development, budgets, and partnership agreements
Compliance, Reporting & Documentation
- Ensure all CSR partnerships meet statutory and regulatory requirements
- Oversee utilization certificates, impact reports, and periodic donor communications
- Coordinate audits, evaluations, and compliance documentation as required by partners
- Maintain accurate records in fundraising and reporting systems
Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work closely with program, finance, and monitoring teams to ensure smooth execution of CSR projects
- Share donor insights, leads, and learning with the fundraising and leadership teams
- Support organizational capacity building related to CSR compliance and partnerships
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Development Studies, Communications, or related fields
- Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in:
- CSR fundraising
- Corporate partnerships
- Institutional or foundation fundraising
- Sustainability / ESG partnerships
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Companies Act, 2013 – CSR provisions
- Schedule VII compliance
- CSR reporting and audit processes
