Role Overview
The Analyst II – Procurement Intelligence role supports the Procurement organization by benchmarking our procurement cost with the competitors, comparing the procurement categories cost with the industry through the market intelligence, providing insights that help category and sourcing teams make informed decisions.
This role focuses on understanding company financials, cost structures, commodity trends, import export data and external market dynamics, and translating this information into practical inputs. The role works closely with Procurement, Category Managers, and other stakeholders to support cost optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to support sourcing and category strategy development
- Review financial information such as annual reports, investor disclosures, and public filings to support procurement insights
- Identify the company productivity/cost saving initiatives and segment them as per the type of savings
- Analyze category cost structures, total cost breakdowns, and should‑cost models to identify savings opportunities
- Support cost modelling activities, including BOM‑based analysis where applicable
- Track commodity prices, market trends, and external factors impacting supply, demand, and pricing
- Prepare clear, structured reports and presentations to communicate insights to procurement stakeholders
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw practical conclusions
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder coordination and collaboration skills
- Good in PowerBi dashboard development – writing queries
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, scenario modelling)
- Curious, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in procurement analytics, market intelligence, cost analysis, financial analysis, or competitive benchmarking
- Exposure to procurement processes such as category strategy, sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization is strongly preferred
- Prior experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer goods environments is a plus
