We are looking for an experienced Resort Manager to independently manage the day-to-day operations of our beach resort on ECR.
The ideal candidate should have approximately 8–15 years of hospitality experience, including at least 3–5 years of experience managing hotel or resort operations. Candidates from an independent resort, boutique hotel, or a 30–80 room property will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall resort operations and ensure smooth functioning across departments.
- Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Restaurant, Banquets, Maintenance and Guest Services.
- Take ownership of guest experience, service quality and operational standards.
- Manage OTA platforms, room pricing, inventory, occupancy and revenue optimization.
- Monitor room rates and competitor pricing and implement suitable revenue-management strategies.
- Handle weddings, banquets, events and group bookings from planning through execution.
- Oversee restaurant operations, service standards, food-cost controls and coordination with kitchen/F&B teams.
- Monitor operating expenses, vendor costs, manpower costs and other controllable expenses.
- Drive profitability through effective cost control, revenue management and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and respond to Google, TripAdvisor, OTA and other online guest reviews, ensuring issues are resolved quickly.
- Handle guest complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, supervise and motivate resort staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure appropriate manpower deployment.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and service partners.
- Maintain property standards, safety, hygiene and preventive maintenance.
- Prepare regular MIS reports covering occupancy, revenue, costs, guest feedback and operational performance.
- Work closely with ownership/management on business improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- 8–15 years of overall hospitality experience.
- At least 3–5 years managing hotel/resort operations.
- Preferably from an independent resort, boutique hotel or 30–80 room property.
- Strong hands-on experience in OTA pricing and revenue management is mandatory.
- Experience handling weddings, banquets and events is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of restaurant/F&B operations.
- Proven experience in cost control and operational profitability.
- Experience managing online reviews, guest ratings and reputation.
- Strong people-management and guest-handling skills.
- Ability to independently run the property and coordinate across multiple departments.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Candidates familiar with the Chennai/ECR hospitality market will be preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
