We are hiring a hands-on Video Producer & Editor who can own the end-to-end video production process for our podcast and related content formats.
Role Overview
The Video Producer & Editor will be responsible for reviewing, shooting, editing, and quality-checking podcast videos and short-form content. This is not just an editing role. The person should be able to manage the full video workflow — from setting up the shoot to delivering polished final videos for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms.
This role is onsite only at Thane, Mumbai.
Key ResponsibilitiesPodcast Production
- Set up and manage video shoots for podcast episodes and interviews.
- Handle camera placement, framing, lighting, composition, and basic set preparation.
- Manage audio setup, mic checks, audio sync, and recording quality.
- Ensure every shoot looks professional, consistent, and brand-aligned.
- Coordinate with the internal team before shoots to understand the episode format, guest profile, and content angle.
Video Editing
- Edit full-length podcast episodes for YouTube and other long-form platforms.
- Create high-retention short-form clips for LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
- Add captions, lower thirds, intro/outro, transitions, b-roll, and basic motion graphics where needed.
- Improve pacing, remove weak sections, and highlight strong moments from conversations.
- Create clean exports in platform-specific formats.
Content Review & Quality Control
- Review raw and edited footage for audio issues, visual quality, awkward cuts, subtitle errors, and brand consistency.
- Identify the strongest moments from each podcast episode for short-form clips.
- Ensure all final videos meet SuperLabs’ quality standards before publishing.
- Maintain consistency in visual style, audio quality, captions, and episode formatting.
Asset & Workflow Management
- Organize raw footage, project files, graphics, exports, backups, and final deliverables.
- Maintain a clean production folder structure.
- Track episode status from shoot to edit to final delivery.
- Work with the team to improve the podcast production process over time.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong video editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- Good understanding of camera handling, framing, lighting, and indoor video shoots.
- Strong audio sense, including mic setup, audio cleanup, syncing, and leveling.
- Experience editing long-form and short-form video content.
- Ability to create engaging hooks and short clips from longer conversations.
- Understanding of YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts formats.
- Good sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual cleanliness.
- Ability to work onsite in Thane, Mumbai.
- Strong file organization and project management discipline.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with podcast production.
- Experience shooting founder, business, or interview-led content.
- Basic thumbnail design skills using Photoshop, Canva, or Figma.
- Basic motion graphics skills using After Effects.
- Understanding of retention, watch time, and social media content performance.
- Ability to suggest improvements in episode format, lighting, framing, and content packaging.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is someone who can walk into a shoot, set up the camera and audio properly, capture a clean podcast episode, edit it into a polished long-form video, and also cut it into multiple high-quality short clips.
They should have strong taste, strong ownership, and the ability to improve the quality of SuperLabs’ video content over time.
Portfolio Requirement
Candidates must share:
- 2–3 long-form videos they have edited.
- 5–10 short-form clips or reels.
- Any podcast, interview, founder, business, or YouTube-style content they have worked on.
- Details of what they personally handled in each project: shoot, edit, audio, color, captions, motion graphics, or full production.
Interview / Test Task
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a practical test
You will need to use your own hardware for editing
Compensation
The expected salary range is ₹45,000 – ₹60,000 per month, depending on experience, portfolio quality, and ability to independently manage shoots and edits, travel will be reimbursed extra based on any on site shoots.
High-quality candidates with strong podcast, YouTube, or founder-led content experience may be considered at a higher range.
