We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Import Export Executive to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless global trade operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all import and export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bill of Lading (BL), airway bills, certificates of origin, and LC documents.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHA (Custom House Agents), and transporters for timely shipments.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, EXIM policies, and other applicable government norms.
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) documentation — preparation, presentation, and bank coordination.
- Track and manage shipments end-to-end, resolving any delays, discrepancies, or customs clearance issues promptly.
- Coordinate with internal departments (purchase, sales, accounts, production) for shipment planning and scheduling.
- Maintain records of duty drawback, advance authorization licenses, RODTEP, MEIS/RoDTEP schemes, and other export incentive benefits.
- Prepare and file shipping bills, import bills of entry, and ensure proper classification of goods under HS codes.
- Liaise with banks for foreign exchange transactions, import payments, and export realizations under FEMA guidelines.
- Monitor incoterms and negotiate freight and insurance rates with service providers.
- Maintain MIS reports on import/export status, costs, and compliance for management review.
- Handle vendor payments related to freight, customs duty, and logistics charges.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Import-Export Management (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations.
- Experience in handling customs documentation, freight coordination, and bank documentation.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing or trading companies dealing in international markets.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ICEGATE portal, customs software, and freight tracking systems.
- Working knowledge of HS codes, DGFT schemes, EPC registrations, and FEMA regulations.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (SAP/Tally preferred).
- Familiarity with Incoterms (FOB, CIF, CFR, DDP, etc.) and trade finance instruments (LC, DA, DP).
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach to issue resolution.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Candidates with experience in textile, chemical, pharmaceutical, engineering goods, or agro-commodity exports preferred.
- Knowledge of export packing norms and quality compliance for international shipments.
- Experience in managing shipments to USA, Europe, Middle East, or Southeast Asia markets.
Pay: ₹12,092.11 - ₹36,966.51 per month
