About the Role
Rama PG College is seeking a qualified and passionate Assistant Professor in Economics / Applied Economics to teach and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students across programmes such as B.Com, B.Com (Hons.), M.Com and other relevant courses. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, effective teaching skills, and a commitment to academic excellence and student development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures in Economics and Applied Economics for B.Com, B.Com (Hons.), M.Com and other relevant programmes.
- Develop lesson plans, course materials, presentations, assignments and assessments as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach subjects/topics such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Economics, Public Finance, International Economics, Development Economics, Indian Economy, Econometrics and related areas.
- Conduct internal assessments, examinations, evaluations and timely submission of marks.
- Guide and mentor students in academic performance, projects, research and career development.
- Encourage practical learning through case studies, current economic developments, data analysis and research-based activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences and other academic activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development, research publications and institutional initiatives.
- Maintain academic records and perform other responsibilities assigned by the College/University.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Postgraduate Degree (M.A./M.Sc. Economics, Applied Economics or equivalent) with a strong academic record.
- NET/SET/Ph.D. qualification as per applicable UGC/University norms will be preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
