Role DescriptionCAT VARC Faculty / Tutor
We are looking for a passionate and capable CAT VARC Faculty / Tutor who can take ownership of the VARC vertical and contribute to building the academic foundation of IIMC.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and concept-driven CAT VARC classes
- Teach Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Para Summary, Odd Sentence Out, Critical Reasoning, Vocabulary and related areas
- Develop structured lesson plans and effective teaching strategies
- Take initiative in creating CAT-level mock examinations, sectional tests and practice tests
- Prepare and continuously improve study materials, worksheets, question banks and practice resources
- Analyse student performance and provide personalised guidance
- Keep content and teaching methodology aligned with evolving CAT trends and patterns
- Mentor students and help them develop effective preparation strategies
- Contribute ideas to improve IIMC's academic systems and overall student experience

QualificationsEducational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Journalism, Mass Communication, Humanities, Arts, Education or a related discipline
- Master's degree in English, Literature, Humanities, Education, Linguistics or a related field will be an added advantage
- Candidates from other academic backgrounds with strong CAT VARC expertise and relevant teaching experience may also be considered
Professional & Other Qualifications
- Strong command over CAT VARC
- Excellent English language and communication skills
- Strong teaching, presentation and mentoring abilities
- Prior experience in CAT coaching/teaching is preferred
- Ability to develop high-quality academic content
- Experience in creating mock tests, sectional tests and study materials is an advantage
- Strong understanding of CAT question patterns and examination strategy
- Ability to analyse student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Experience in coaching institute management, academic coordination or administration will be an added advantage
- Candidates based in Kottayam and nearby areas are preferred

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
