Job Title: Remote VoIP Engineer (Asterisk)

Work Days: Monday–Friday (UAE Public Holidays Off)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Remote VoIP Engineer with hands-on experience in Asterisk PBX to manage and optimize cloud-based voice infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SIP, Linux administration, VoIP troubleshooting, and excellent English communication skills to support global clients remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Asterisk PBX servers in cloud environments.
- Design and modify dial plans, IVR menus, and call routing.
- Troubleshoot SIP trunking, RTP, audio, and connectivity issues using sngrep and Wireshark.
- Provide Tier-2/3 technical support for VoIP services.
- Document call flows, network configurations, and technical procedures.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Asterisk PBX.
- Strong knowledge of SIP, PJSIP, RTP, and VoIP technologies.
- Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS) and Bash scripting.
- Understanding of VPNs, firewalls, NAT traversal, and networking.
- Basic MySQL/MariaDB knowledge for CDR management.
- Experience with Slack, Jira, and Zoom.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication.
