Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of slitting, pouching, and packing machines.
- Plan production activities according to the production schedule and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper machine setting, size, cutting, sealing, pouch dimensions, and packing specifications.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
- Control material wastage, rejection, downtime, and production losses.
- Check roll width, length, winding quality, pouch size, seal strength, appearance, and packing quality.
- Ensure correct identification, labeling, counting, and packing of finished products.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Lamination, Printing, and Dispatch departments.
- Maintain daily production reports, wastage reports, downtime records, and machine performance records.
- Identify machine/process problems and coordinate with Maintenance for timely resolution.
- Allocate manpower and supervise operators, helpers, and packing staff.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of finished goods to avoid damage or contamination.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, 5S, safety procedures, and customer requirements.
- Train operators on machine operation, quality requirements, safety, and productivity improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce wastage.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders and achieve daily/monthly production targets.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualification: Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Printing Technology, or relevant field.
- Experience: 5–12 years in Flexible Packaging / Plastic / FMCG Packaging Industry.
- Hands-on experience in Slitting, Pouching, and Packing operations.
- Good knowledge of flexible packaging materials such as PET, BOPP, PE, CPP, Laminates, and Pouches.
Benefits & Relocation Package
The company will provide the following benefits to the selected candidate:
- Total Relocation Allowance: USD 500 per month, as an estimated relocation support amount provided by the company.
- Food Allowance: USD 250 per month.
- Rent/Accommodation Allowance: USD 250 per month. The candidate's eligible rent/accommodation expenses will be covered by the company.
- Employment Type: Permanent Role.
- Job Location: Tema, Ghana, Africa.
- Air Ticket: The company will bear the cost of the candidate's air ticket for travel/joining to Ghana
