About the Role
We are developing a next-generation ultrasound platform engineered in India, focused on delivering innovative, reliable, and high-performance medical imaging solutions.
We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and building world-class medical software. The selected candidate will work closely with Solution Architects, System Engineers, Clinical Experts, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate core ultrasound application software.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the complete software lifecycle—from architecture and development to testing, optimization, and product release.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance ultrasound application software using modern C++.
- Lead the development of software modules related to imaging, measurements, reporting, patient management, and clinical workflows.
- Integrate and extend Ultrasound SDK functionalities into the application.
- Participate in software architecture, system design, and technical decision-making.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and reusable software components following industry best practices.
- Optimize software performance, responsiveness, memory utilization, and reliability.
- Collaborate with clinical experts to understand workflow requirements and translate them into software solutions.
- Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and software quality practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the development team.
- Support software integration, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and development artifacts.
- Contribute to build automation, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and software configuration management.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software.
Required Technical Skills
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience in modern C++ (C++11/14/17).
- Strong experience in Windows application development.
- Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Software Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of STL, memory management, and concurrent programming (multithreading and synchronization).
- Experience with COM technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems.
- Familiarity with CMake or similar build systems.
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs or software libraries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and technical mentoring skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Medical Imaging or Healthcare Software development.
- Exposure to Ultrasound systems or Imaging SDKs.
- Knowledge of DICOM standards and healthcare interoperability.
- Experience with DirectShow or multimedia frameworks.
- Exposure to C#/.NET technologies.
- Experience with OpenCV or image processing libraries.
- Knowledge of SQLite or embedded databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of software development processes for regulated medical devices is an added advantage.
