Job Summary:
The Boys Hostel Warden is responsible for maintaining discipline, safety, and smooth functioning of the hostel. The role requires a highly responsible individual—preferably an ex-serviceman—with strong leadership, surveillance, and crisis management skills to ensure a secure and well-managed residential environment for students.
Key Responsibilities: Security & Discipline
- Maintain strict discipline and enforce hostel rules and regulations
- Monitor entry/exit of students and visitors
- Conduct regular rounds and inspections of hostel premises
- Handle emergencies such as medical issues, conflicts, or security threats
- Coordinate with security staff and college administration
Student Supervision
- Ensure student well-being, behaviour, and adherence to curfew timings
- Act as a mentor and guide for hostel residents
- Address student grievances and escalate when required
Hostel Administration
- Maintain records of occupancy, attendance, and visitor logs
- Ensure proper allocation of rooms and facilities
- Oversee housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance activities
- Coordinate with mess/catering services for food quality and hygiene
Crisis & Incident Management
- Take immediate action during emergencies (fire, health, misconduct)
- Prepare incident reports and maintain discipline records
- Liaise with local authorities if required
Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualification: 10th / 12th Pass (Graduation preferred)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5–10 years of service in Armed Forces / Police / Security Services
- Prior experience in hostel or institutional administration is an advantage

Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Ex-Serviceman (Army / Navy / Air Force)
- Age: 40–60 years (flexible based on fitness and experience)
- Honest, responsible, and strict yet approachable personality
Working Conditions:
- Residential role (stay in hostel premises preferred)
- Availability during night hours, weekends, and emergencies
- 24/7 on-call responsibility
