Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving primary and secondary sales, expanding the distributor and retailer network, achieving sales targets, and ensuring market growth across the assigned territories. The role involves managing distributors, executing sales strategies, monitoring market performance, and leading field activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Manage sales operations across Pondicherry, Cuddalore, Villupuram, and Virudhachalam.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Increase market penetration by identifying new business opportunities and appointing new distributors where required.
- Monitor distributor stock levels, sales performance, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure effective implementation of trade schemes, promotional activities, and product launches.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Track primary and secondary sales and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from distributors and customers.
- Resolve distributor and customer issues promptly to maintain strong business relationships.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to ensure smooth business operations.
- Maintain visibility standards and execute merchandising initiatives in the market.
- Analyze sales data and recommend action plans to improve territory performance.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or any related discipline.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in FMCG, Innerwear, Garments, Textile, or Consumer Goods sales.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager or Territory Sales Manager.
