An automobile dealership insurance renewal executive is responsible for retaining customers by managing vehicle insurance expirations, securing policy renewals, and cross-selling coverage options. They act as the primary liaison between the dealership, vehicle owners, and insurance providers to ensure seamless, continuous coverage.
Core Responsibilities
- Proactive Outreach: Contact existing dealership customers before their current policy expires to arrange renewals and prevent breaks in coverage.
- Policy Management: Prepare insurance quotations, process policy documents, and explain coverage benefits, add-ons, and exclusions to clients.
- Customer Retention: Educate customers on the importance of timely vehicle insurance renewals and maintaining zero-depreciation or add-on benefits.
- Coordination: Liaise with partner insurance companies, surveyors, and the dealership's sales and finance departments to facilitate smooth processing.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client information, policy dates, transaction histories, and periodic performance/renewal reports.
- Claim Support: Assist customers in the event of an accident or claim by guiding them through the proper procedures and coordinating with insurers.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Typically requires 0-3 years in the insurance or automobile sales industry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills for client negotiation and relationship building.
- Knowledge: Understanding of motor vehicle insurance products, regulations, and RTO (Regional Transport Office) processes.
