STP O&M Engineer / Operator

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced STP O&M professional to handle the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) at client/project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor STP systems and equipment on a daily basis.
- Ensure proper functioning of pumps, blowers, motors, agitators, filters, and dosing systems.
- Monitor water quality parameters such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, MLSS, and DO.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues.
- Maintain daily STP operation logs, checklists, and maintenance records.
- Monitor chemical dosing and ensure proper chemical usage.
- Coordinate with technicians, electricians, plumbers, and site personnel.
- Ensure treated water quality meets required standards.
- Inspect tanks, pipelines, pumps, valves, and other equipment regularly.
- Report operational and maintenance issues to the reporting manager.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness at the STP site.
Qualification:
- Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Civil, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in STP O&M.
- Practical knowledge of STP equipment and treatment processes.
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of pumps, motors, blowers, and dosing systems.
- Good communication and site-handling skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of MBBR, SBR, MBR, or similar STP technologies.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to prepare daily operational reports.
- Willingness to work at client/project sites.
