Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as a Buyer/Expeditor in Coimbatore. You will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring the timely availability of materials, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to optimize costs and improve efficiency. The Expeditor is essential for minimizing delays, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
You will:
- Release new purchase orders based on daily demand.
- Follow up with suppliers for order confirmation and ensure on-time delivery.
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to meet company requirements.
- Source alternative vendors or parts in the open market to fulfill demand.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for seamless material supply.
- Coordinate production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Manage materials and inventory to ensure seamless production.
- Track order progress and address any delays or challenges.
- Communicate with production, sales, and customer service teams.
- Ensure quality assurance for all products before shipment.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks or production issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of schedules, inventory, and order statuses.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
You have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in EEE, ECE, Mechanical, or Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- 2–4 years of experience in SCM (Purchase/Sourcing) with an understanding of SCM flow & activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and suppliers.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Additional Requirements:
- Willing to work from the office.
- Shift timing: 03:00 PM – 01:00 AM IST.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and execute tasks efficiently.
