Job Title: Purchase Executive / Store Incharge (Furniture Industry)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Purchase Executive with Store Handling responsibilities for our furniture manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for procurement, vendor coordination, inventory control, GRN management, and maintaining accurate stock records. Experience in the furniture industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Management:
- Handle day-to-day purchasing of raw materials, hardware, accessories, and other furniture-related materials
- Identify and coordinate with vendors/suppliers for quotations, pricing, and timely deliveries
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) as per company requirements
- Compare rates, negotiate prices, and ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Follow up with suppliers regarding pending orders, dispatch, and delivery schedules
- Maintain purchase records, invoices, and supplier databases
Store Handling / Inventory Management:
- Manage inward and outward stock entries accurately
- Prepare and maintain GRN for all incoming materials
- Monitor stock availability and ensure proper inventory levels
- Maintain daily stock registers and inventory reports
- Conduct physical stock verification and reconcile with system records
- Ensure proper material storage and stock arrangement in store
- Coordinate with production/site/operations team for material requirements
Software & Documentation:
- Maintain purchase and inventory data in Tally ERP
- Prepare stock reports, purchase reports, and MIS reports in Excel
- Update supplier bills, stock transfers, and inventory movement records
- Ensure proper documentation for purchase bills, challans, GRN, and stock audits
Required Skills:
- Basic to good knowledge of Purchase & Store Operations
- Mandatory knowledge of GRN (Goods Receipt Note)
- Strong knowledge of Tally ERP
- Good command of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, stock sheets, reporting, data entry)
- Inventory Management & Stock Control knowledge
- Vendor management and negotiation skills
- Good documentation and record-keeping ability
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in Furniture Industry preferred
- Knowledge of furniture raw materials, fittings, hardware, plywood, laminates, etc.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and responsible
- Good communication and coordination skills
Qualification:
- Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Purchase / Store Handling, preferably in Furniture or Manufacturing Industry
- Relevant experience in Purchase, Store, or Inventory Management preferred
Industry Preference:
Furniture Manufacturing / Interior / Modular Furniture / Woodwork Industry
