A Reservation Associate manages booking inquiries, coordinates accommodation arrangements, and ensures seamless guest experiences. They process reservations, update Property Management Systems (PMS) like Opera, assist with cancellations, and drive revenue through upselling. This role acts as the bridge between guests and hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking Management: Promptly handle incoming inquiries via phone, email, and online travel portals. Accurately input and verify guest details, stay dates, and special requests.
- System Upkeep: Maintain the Accor Careers or similar PMS systems by updating room availability, inventory, and rates.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Communicate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Sales teams to ensure VIP arrivals, group bookings, and tailored guest requests are executed flawlessly.
- Sales & Upselling: Maximize property revenue by promoting room upgrades, packages, and supplementary hotel services during the booking process.
- Guest Assistance: Provide clear, accurate information regarding policies, rates, and amenities. Resolve any booking discrepancies and process modifications or cancellations professionally.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: 1–4 years in hospitality, customer service, or a relevant Delhi Job Placement reservation handling role.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree is often preferred, with specialized training in hotel management being a distinct advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel reservation software (e.g., Opera, PMS) and strong computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, exceptional active listening, and a calm, polite demeanor under pressure.
