The Civil Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services required for civil engineering and construction projects. The role ensures timely procurement while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure civil construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, bricks, pipes, electrical, and plumbing items.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Coordinate with project/site engineers to understand material requirements.
- Track deliveries and ensure timely supply to project sites.
- Maintain vendor database and develop relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, and purchase documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure purchased materials meet quality specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain purchase records.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of civil construction materials and procurement processes.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement software (preferred).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and cost-control abilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in civil or construction procurement (experience requirements can be adjusted based on the role).
